They enable businesses to achieve a wide range of goals, from generating awareness to driving sales and more. Templates with mixed content (for example, both utility and marketing, such as an order update with a promo or a feedback survey with promotional content) or templates with unclear content (for example, where the content is only “{{1}}” or “Congratulations!”) are also considered marketing.

Utility Messages

What is it
?
These are template messages, meaning Meta will need to pre-approve their content and validate its category before being used. For a template to be categorized as utility instead of marketing, it must be non-promotional (not containing any promotional or persuasive intent) and either specific to or requested by the user (clearly related to their order, account, services, or transactions) or essential/critical to the user (for example, to ensure user safety).

Can I use the Calculator without a Manychat account?

While the Calculator can give you an estimate without a Manychat account, it's important to note that Manychat is required to actually send WhatsApp messages. To proceed with your estimated messages to be delivered, you'll need an active Manychat account with a WhatsApp integration.

I am in a different country than my audience. Which price will I be charged?

The price of your messages is determined by the country you are sending the message to. For example, if I am based in the US, but I am sending a message to my WhatsApp audience in Costa Rica, I will pay the Costa Rican rate for those WhatsApp messages. If you are broadcasting a message to multiple different countries, you will pay different rates for each country you send messages to.
